Richard Scott & Aurora Irene Morgan are both artists of various mediums. This allows a unique diversity at the studio. Don't be surprised to see creations ranging from oil paintings, drawings/illustrations, watercolors, photography, graphic design, and animation.

They opened The Aspen Sienna Art Studio in 2005, named in memory of their first daughter who was stillborn on the day she was due. That major life changing experience inspired them to launch this new venture with perseverance, prayer and faith. Such a tragic jolt brought the realization that life is a precious gift to be cherished at every moment. It's a dream come true to pursue their art passions in the serenity of their surroundings in Florida and Montana (the two places they call home).

Richard Scott Morgan's Artist Statement

My intent as an artist is to emphatically develop
my craft as a painter. In doing so, I want to push
the scale, consistency, intensity, and emotional
quality of my work. I don't simply want to paint
pretty pictures but canvases that reflect the
sensation of being outdoors emotionally and
spiritually. Paintings that are not only
artistically well rounded with color, value,
composition, texture, and structure but,
real works of art that retain substance."

Aurora Irene Morgan's Artist Statement

"With Faith,Hope, and Love...Make a Difference!"

Richard's focus on oil painting led him to the plein air painting technique.  It's basically a branch of impressionism that emphasizes painting in open air and outdoor light. He enjoys painting on location to capture the true essence of the scene.

Rich received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Ringling School of Art and Design, where he was previously an Instructor. For over 10 years he was an animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation. His fine art has been exhibited at several galleries and special locations including the Worley Faver Gallery, St. Augustine Art Association, Cathedral Place, Cyprian Center, (St. Augustine, FL), Buffalo Trail Gallery (Jackson Hole, WY), Dana Gallery (Missoula, MT), Selby Gallery (Sarasota, FL), Gallery of Local Art (Flagler Beach, FL) Hockaday Museum (Kalispell, MT), Daly Mansion (Hamilton, MT), Jay Contway and Friends Show (Great Falls, MT), Made in Montana Exhibition (Great Falls, MT), and MonDak Heritage Center (Sidney, MT).

Aurora "Irene" handles the business management, sales, marketing, and design for their company. Her Bachelor of Art Degree was achieved at the University of North Florida. She also experienced the magic working at The Walt Disney Company as a freelance designer and computer animator.  In addition, she's worked with other exciting companies including The Golf Channel, Post- Newsweek, Gannett, IBM, AT&T and LEE Enterprises to name a few.

They both have received awards for their art including A Best of Show Award, 2 Gold TELLY Awards, an EMMY Nomination, and a Juror's Award.
